THAT is why I’m here.

Your reticular activating system, your subconscious, your ego… or even those bad and good angels sitting on your shoulders – whatever you want to call it, that thing. That is what keeps you from Doing Better.

It’s funny isn’t it? The way we all can list out a half dozen things, at least, that we could be doing more effectively, better, faster… Just that little thing right there! What little thing? The fact that you understood and resonated with that list of stuff you could be doing better – THAT! That fact is such a huge indication that you are being held captive by your habits and patterns!

How do you break free?

It’s a choice.

The absolute most important thing you can do to change your patterns, to attain what you want, to start doing better – Meditation! This has become a bit redundant, I know – but it’s true, and it’s also the most valuable thing I can possibly give you right now.

Do whatever you have to do to establish a meditation practice. 

Use whatever app, whatever method, whatever accountability partner tricks – whatever you have to do, that is the single largest impact you can make on yourself.

If you are meditating, the next step is are effective journaling. Goal setting, daily reminders of your goals, constant focus and reflection. That’s a bit overwhelming to most – I get it! (ohhhh – I get it! It’s taken me decades to learn and understand and actually do these things!)

To start your journal habit, the one thing you can do to make the biggest impact on you – journal daily about gratitude! When you start, it will just be a cute list – kids, dinner, awesome song played on the way to work… but soon, and the sooner the better, soon you will start to actually FEEL the things you’re grateful for.

That’s the trick, and the bonus with meditation – start feeling what you WANT to feel. And yeah, gratitude is the absolute most important thing you can feel in regards to living an abundant life.
