I am doing “This” because every day, I wake and put myself through a routine. That routine includes watching a motivational video.
Why am I putting myself through that routine?
2 reasons –
- ‘they’ all say that doing ‘this’ is a key ingredient to living the life you want. And – 2. Because, I’ve taken DECADES of my life learning lessons, over and over PROVING “THEM” RIGHT!
It basically comes down, at a technical level, to this – because entering the state of flow and executing on a small amount of activities, repeatedly and consistently, is the ‘secret to success’. This could go into a very distracting conversation about defining success, but let’s do that elsewhere and stay on topic here.
A large percentage of the people reading this have found me because of that consistency. I’ve figured out how “they” get it done, and have helped a lot of people learn these “secrets” and tactics and get it done themselves now.
Well…
#1. I’m executing on those same “secret tactics” and that results in me finding AWESOME videos that motivate me, like this one:
I don’t write one of these every day. I only do it when I’m inspired by a particularly well done video that I think you may get something from.
#2. By sharing these videos, these emails and these blog posts, I hope to empower YOU to develop your own morning routine using similar techniques.

With the state of flow, we can all literally perform at surprising superhuman ability levels. Focus, attention on the details, and results are astounding!
Anyway – the final reason I’m doing this…
#3. Some of the folks I’ve shared these techniques with simply haven’t applied them consistently. This is a reminder — take that action!
You simply have to decide what is or is not important in your world and start making decisions to act on those things.
Without a doubt the single biggest impact on my world has been consistently performing and growing this morning routine! The specific items in my morning routine may not align with you and be as effective for you – that’s ok!
Key ingredients that should be included in all routines: Meditation; Water; some physical activity; some ‘mindless’ and somewhat ‘risky’ activity (cutting an apple with a sharp knife, or pouring boiling water is an example); big goal review/reminder; motivating music, reading, writing, etc…
These things combined in the right order, for you, will launch you into a highly productive work session. At least that’s the intention. If it doesn’t work for you, then figuring out what DOES WORK FOR YOU is the key.
Don’t stop until you do!
